SCONUL is pleased to announce action learning sets for deputies.

We are partnering with AUDE, BUFDG, UHR and UCISA (our equivalent for estates, finance, HR and IT professionals) to offer action learning sets for library staff at deputy director level or equivalent.  See our briefing for more information.

This initiative has emerged from our work on leadership which members identified as a priority for SCONUL’s current strategy.  A Task and Finish Group, led by Alison Baud of Bath Spa University, has been working for 18 months of a programme of research and practical interventions aimed at supporting members. We will be launching the full range of reports and new services at our event on 2 October (click here to register your attendance) and following #leadinglibraries on Twitter for more information.

The initiative has been developed in response to an identified need among deputies for development opportunities which could be met from within existing library budgets.  The cost is £699 per candidate for a full set of five sessions. Expressions of interest are required by 5 October.
