We are delighted to announce SCONUL has published a briefing prepared by Chris Morrison and Jane Secker on the use of the Hargreaves exceptions to supply information resources. The briefing is aimed at heads of service, interlibrary supply / document delivery staff and copyright specialists and concentrates on the changes to the copyright law and the supply of digital content.

The guide includes three case studies to illustrate how libraries are using the provisions of the UK copyright law. It clarifies what the law now permits and highlights how academic libraries can provide effective service to their users.

The guide is available here on the SCONUL website.

We are keen to hear whether the case studies have encouraged you to review and change how you source and supply material to your users. Please contact Ruth Stubbings with details.
