Winter conference 2014 presentations - Mon, 8 Dec 2014

The SCONUL Winter Conference took place at the Royal College of Physicians, London on 21 November, with the theme of "The Visible Library: Demonstrating our Value".

Highlights of the conference included Professor Graham Henderson discussing the importance of the library at Teesside in meeting the University's strategic objectives; Paul Farmer of the charity Mind, sharing his campaign expertise as well as advice to promote good mental health for students and employees; and three case studies of how to use evidence to demonstrate value and increase the visibility of the library.

Delegates also had the opportunity, in workshops, to further examine the perceptions, positive and negative, of some of our key stakeholders (Academics, VCs, Finance Directors, and Government). The outcomes of these discussions were reported back to delegates in a panel discussion.
